Care Guide

Miniature Care Guide

Miniature food pieces are art objects. This care guide helps you keep them looking new, whether you display them or use them for photography and dioramas.

Cleaning

  • Dust gently with a soft brush or air blower. Avoid rubbing with cloth (it can scratch paint and texture).
  • Spot clean with a slightly damp cotton swab only when needed; dry immediately.
  • Never soak in water, alcohol, or cleaning solutions.

Handling

  • Hold from the base when possible. Avoid squeezing thin parts (leaves, stems, toppings).
  • Keep away from small children and pets.

Storage & Display

  • Display behind glass or in a box to reduce dust.
  • Store in a sealed container with silica gel in a dry, cool place.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and high heat (paint may fade, resin can soften).

Adhesives (if you are building sets)

  • Use museum putty or micro double-sided tape when possible.
  • If using glue, test on an invisible area first and use a tiny amount.
